How the Blog import integration works
What it does
- Any platform with a sitemap.WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Substack, Squarespace, a static site you built yourself. There is no per-platform connector to wait for, because it reads the sitemap rather than the CMS.
- Real titles, not guessed slugs.Each candidate page is fetched so the list shows what a post actually is before you choose. Anything that cannot be read falls back to a readable version of its slug.
- Images are re-hosted.Pictures are pulled into your own media library and the body rewritten, so imported posts do not break the day the old site goes away.
- Everything lands as a draft.Nothing is published and nothing goes live. Import first, read it back, then decide what deserves to stay.
How to use it
- 1Paste the addressThe blog’s home page is enough. Bloggable finds the sitemap from there and filters out tag pages, archives and assets.
- 2Tick what you wantChoose from the list of posts it found. The import runs in small batches, with progress as it goes.
- 3Read them backThey are in your drafts, in the editor, ready to be rewritten, refreshed, or published as they are.
