An Admin API key is the whole setup. Posts arrive with their images, tags and excerpt already in place, on Ghost Pro or on a Ghost site you run yourself.
How the Ghost integration works
What it does
- Images go into Ghost’s own store.Uploaded on the way in and rewritten in the body, so the published post does not depend on Bloggable staying reachable.
- Tags and excerpt come with it.Mapped when you connect, along with the meta description. Ghost has no categories, so that control is greyed out rather than silently dropping what you chose.
- The byline can be any staff user.Pick who a post is published as, as long as they already exist on the Ghost site.
- Unpublishing reverts to draft.The public URL stops resolving and the post stays in Ghost. We never delete from a site we do not own.
How to connect it
- 1Add a custom integration in GhostSettings → Integrations → Add custom integration. Ghost hands you an Admin API key and an API URL.
- 2Paste both into BloggableThe connection is checked immediately and the key is encrypted before it is stored.
- 3Map it, then arm itChoose the tags and author to publish under, and whether posts go out automatically or on your say-so.
