YouTube
By Bloggable
A video, where the paragraph would have been.
Drop a YouTube URL into the editor and it becomes a player — sized to the column, responsive on a phone, and rendered on your blog without a plugin or a script tag.
How the YouTube integration works
What it does
- Paste is the whole interaction.A YouTube link on an empty line turns into an embed block. The slash menu has it too, if you would rather choose it than paste it.
- Responsive by default. The player keeps its aspect ratio at every width, so a post read on a phone does not letterbox or overflow.
- Sanitised before it renders.Embed markup is fetched through oEmbed on our side and filtered against a host allow-list, so a post can never carry arbitrary third-party script onto your blog.
- Travels as a link when published out.On a Bloggable blog it renders inline. Published to WordPress or Ghost it becomes a plain link on purpose — WordPress strips iframes from most authors, and a link that always works beats an embed that sometimes vanishes.
How to use it
- 1Copy the video’s addressA youtube.com or youtu.be link, either one.
- 2Paste it on an empty lineIt resolves into a player straight away. Nothing to configure and no key to fetch.
