Getting started

Set up Bloggable with your AI coding agent

Start here: copy the prompt, or open it straight in Cursor, Codex or Claude Code.

If you use an AI coding agent — Claude Code, Cursor or Codex — it can set your blog up for you from your website's code: the name, colours, logo, tone of voice, your existing articles and a custom domain. You approve it once in the browser and choose a plan when you're happy with the result.

Start it

Press Install with AI — it's at the top of this article, on the Bloggable homepage, and at the end of most pages on the site. The prompt your agent will get is shown first. Either:

  • Copy prompt — and paste it into whichever agent you use, in your website's project, or
  • Open prompt in Cursor, Codex or Claude Code — opens your agent with the prompt filled in. Claude Code opens in the Claude desktop app; if you use Claude Code in a terminal, copy the prompt instead.

Your agent adds the Bloggable MCP server and makes its first call. A browser window opens: sign in or create an account (Google or an email link — no card), check which app is asking, and press Approve.

What the agent sets up

Everything below is free:

  • the blog itself, its theme, brand colour, logo and links back to your site,
  • a voice profile taken from your site's copy, which every AI-written post follows later,
  • your existing articles, imported as drafts with their original slugs and dates,
  • a list of planned topics,
  • a custom domain such as blog.yourcompany.com — it tells you the DNS record to add.

When it's done you get an email with a preview link and the plan that covers what was set up.

Your blog isn't live yet

A workspace your agent opens starts not live. That means:

  • nothing is public — the blog address shows nothing to visitors,
  • AI writing, publishing and scheduling are switched off,
  • you can still look at everything: open the blog's preview while signed in.

Choosing a plan puts it live. Press Choose a plan in the banner (or the link in the email). The plan page preselects the cheapest plan that covers what your agent configured — for example, a custom domain or a premium theme. It starts your free trial; your blog goes online and AI writing switches on at the same moment.

If you don't choose a plan, your setup is kept for 30 days and then archived, and deleted after 90 days. We email you before each step, and choosing a plan any time before deletion brings everything back.

Already have an account?

Connecting an agent to an existing account works the same way and creates nothing new — the agent acts as you, with your role. Viewers can't connect agents.

Credits and limits

Setting up costs nothing. Once your blog is live, your agent can also write posts with AI, which uses your account's credits exactly as it would in the app. It only does this when you ask, and each AI tool states its price.

To cap one agent further, go to Settings → AI agents and set a daily credit limit on it. There is no limit unless you set one — your credit balance is always the overall ceiling.

Managing connected agents

Settings → AI agents lists every connected agent with when it was last used and what it spent today. Disconnect stops it on its next request.

If your agent can't open a browser, create an API key on the same page and give it to the agent as a bearer token. The key is shown once and acts as you — don't commit it to your repository.

What it can't do (yet)

  • Host the blog under a path of your main site (yourcompany.com/blog). Use a subdomain such as blog.yourcompany.com.
  • Choose a plan or enter card details — only you can.
  • Delete anything.

Still stuck?

Joe, the assistant inside Bloggable, can answer most questions instantly — he searches these same articles, but with your account in front of him. If he can't help, he can put you through to a human.
